Audrey Jean Cheeseman Obituary

Audrey Jean Nichols Cheeseman, 96 of Mount Holly, NC and Batavia, NY passed away April 4, 2025.  Audrey was a very loving, kind, lover of all birds, with a great sense of humor. But most of all, she was a great historian. Everyone loved her, she always had a big smile on her face. Audrey and Robert (Bob) were happily married for 58yrs. She was a loving mother to two children, Suzanne and Bobby. She was also an incredible grandma to two grand-daughter’s to Michelle Nesbit (Mooresville, NC) and Beth Maner (Mount Holly, NC). And a loving great-grandma to Allison Nesbit (Mooresville, NC). Allison loved to draw and paint her owls, of which she loved the most. She LOVED to sing. She was a long-time member of the Sweet Adelines chorus group for many years. She loved her brother, Fred Nichols (Canandaigua, NY), she loved to call and chat with him often. She was born and raised in Batavia, NY. She moved to Mount Holly, NC in 2010 to be closer to Sue and her family. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Truman and Esther Nichols. Her husband, Robert E. Cheeseman. Her son, Robert W. Cheeseman. And daughter, Suzanne Demus. She is survived by her son-in-law, Duane Demus, her grand-daughter’s, Michelle Nesbit (Chris) and Beth Maner (Christopher), great-grandaughter, Allison Nesbit and her brother Fred Nichols (Lorrie).
