Betty Nixon Hall Obituary

Betty Nixon Hall, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, leaving behind a rich legacy of love and devotion to her family. She was born on November 16, 1940, in Gaston County, North Carolina, to the late William Clinton Nixon and Hettie Lawing Nixon.

Betty lived a full life, one defined by her unwavering commitment to her family and her faith. She graduated from Mount Holly High School, following her education, Betty built a notable career, retiring after many years of service from Ticaro in Ranlo.

In 1960, she married her beloved husband, Earl Hall, with whom she shared over 55 wonderful years until his passing. Betty's enduring love for Earl was a testament to their deep connection and commitment to one another. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Putnam, who was a cherished part of her life.

Betty is survived by her two daughters, Leslie Hall Killian and her husband Richard of Mount Holly, and Michelle Hall Rembowski and her husband Dave of Mooresville. She took immense pride in her six grandchildren: Paul Killian, Devin Killian and his wife Michelle, Lane Killian and his wife Brittani, and Jeremy, Nicky, and Claire Rembowski. The sparkle in her eyes was especially bright for her great-grandson, Asher Killian, who brought her endless joy and laughter.She is also survived by numerous extended family.

A lifelong member of the First Methodist Church in Mount Holly, Betty was deeply rooted in her faith and community. She embraced her role within the church, forming lasting friendships that enriched her life and the lives of those around her.

Betty was known for her unconditional love for her family, always prioritizing their happiness and well-being. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as day trips to the mountains and Sunday lunches shared with loved ones. These moments created cherished memories that her family will hold dear for years to come.

A funeral service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at the First Methodist Church in Mount Holly on December 30, 2024, at 12:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.  All who knew and loved Betty are invited to attend to pay their respects and share in the memories of a remarkable woman.

 

Memorials may be made to the Robin Johnson Hopsice House. Their unwavering care and compassion was truly appreciated.
