Catherine Ingram Whitesides Obituary

Her faith became sight on December 7, 2021. Catherine "Cathy" Whitesides, 66, of Mount Holly, daughter of the late Bill and Winifred Hollingsworth Ingram. She was also preceded in death by her brother Rick Ingram, grandparents Henry and Edna Hollingsworth of Charlotte and William and Jewel Ingram of Boiling Springs, NC.

Cathy was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Charlotte where she taught children's Sunday School and sang in the choir. Retired for several years, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, yard work, yard sales and crafting.

Cathy is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 48 years Pete Whitesides, her sons Petey Whitesides and wife Erika, and Max Whitesides and wife Brittany. Grandchildren Whitney, Will and Allie were the apples of her eye and the beating of her heart. They always knew that Nanny was only a phone call away.  She is also survived by her sister Dixie Bullock and husband Jimmy and many special relatives and friends  to cherish her memory.

At Cathy's request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
