One of our brightest spots in this world has transitioned to her heavenly life and joined her dear parents, as we say goodbye to Charlotte Ann Rhyne Crist. Charlotte departed us on Thursday, July 4, 2024.
Charlotte was a beautiful woman with a joyful smile, always happy to greet another person. She had a heart of gold that never met a stranger or a stray kitten. She brought smiles and warm greetings to all she met, whether as a teller at the local bank, a volunteer planner of the Mt.Holly Christmas parade, or as a receptionist managing the busy front desk of a law firm. Charlotte had many familymembers and friends who loved her and the way she made everyone feel special. She also loved spending her vacations at the beach and by the pool.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Rob Mae and Blair Rhyne. She reluctantly leaves behind her cherished son, Matthew Crist, his wife Christy, and grandchildren Patrick Crist, Jacob Crist, VictoriaGrantland, and Joseph Grantland and his family. She is also survived by her younger sister Milly Drake and husband Bruce, her loving nieces Robin Selby and KarenSelby and her family, as well as treasured cousins and many loving friends.
Charlotte is at peace now and the world was a better place because of her presence. Charlotte was so grateful for everyone in her life and would often say, “God is so good to me it’s scary!” May her memory always be a blessing, and may her friends and family take comfort in the many wonderful times shared.
Her arrangements are as follows:
The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church in Mt. Holly from 11:00-12:00 on Saturday July 13, 2024 with the funeral service following at 12:00. Interment will be conducted at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery following the funeral service.
A donation in memory of Charlotte Crist can be made to the Belmont Meals on Wheels Program or Gaston County Animal Care and Enforcement.
