Clay Beaty Morris

Clay Beaty Morris, 83, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by
his wife, JoAnn Pope Morris. He was the last living of his ten siblings. He was a loving father,
grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by a son, Ricky Morris, daughters Vicky
Dixon, Heather Wyatt and Teena Murphy and her husband Jim Murphy. He has nine
grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

We will have a graveside ceremony at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly, Friday May
27th at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Revival Tabernacle, 212 S Highway 27, Stanley NC 28164

If you had the privilege to know Beaty, then you would know he went everywhere with his
tobacco and a stained t-shirt. He loved going to Pigeon Forge with his family to see Elvis on the
street corner singing and dancing. You could find him at the Mount Holly landfill daily and on
Thursday he would get up before the sun to go to the flea market in Denver. He loved sitting by
his building in the evenings surrounded with family just talking about the day. He loved tending
to his garden and sharing his tomatoes with friends and family. He was truly a special man
under his rough and rugged exterior. He wanted nothing more than to make sure his family was
taking care of before himself. His citizenship is now in Heaven rejoicing and being with the Lord.
