Dale Robert Morton

Dale Robert Morton (65) peacefully entered into his Heavenly home on January 10th, 2023. Dale is now rejoined with his Mother and Father, Mildred Rabon Morton and Edmond Morton.  
Dale is survived by his wife Terri Morton, Daughter Jaclyn Duncan (Kendall) and Grand daughter Emma Grace Duncan. His "girls" were the light of his life. He also is survived by brother Dean Morton, sister Diana Jones, and multiple nieces and nephews.  
Dale was a man of God, publicly displaying his salvation in 2015. Dale was a U.S. Army Veteran (1975-1977) past Master of the Mt Holly Masonic Lodge (2007) and Captain of the Drum and Bugle Corps (2013-2014). Dale was a lover of all things fast and all things Ford; His latest passion was racing "Lucille" , a 1957 Fairlane with the SouthEast Gassers Association (SEGA). He made his career as a heavy duty diesel mechanic, but truly he was happiest under the hood of anything with a motor! 
Dale never met a stranger and was the life of any crowd. He was a friend to all and he will be greatly missed.    
The family will hold a memorial service at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Gastonia , NC to Celebrate Dale's life on Sunday, January 15th at 3pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
