Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Daniel Troy “Danny” Hansel, born on September 28, 1973 in Charlotte, North Carolina, announce his passing on June 21, 2023 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.
Danny was the beloved son of Lynn Abernathy and the late Richard Hansel. He graduated from East Gaston High School in 1992 and worked in construction for many years before moving to work at Hansel Alignment in Mount Holly.
Danny was an avid Duke fan and loved to feed birds.
In addition to his mother, Danny is survived by 3 children Angela Hansel of Mount Holly, Brandon Hansel of Mount Holly, Sydney Hansel of Mount Holly; Granddaughter Everleigh Blanton; former wife Donna Hughes; Aunts and Uncles Steve and Jane Hansel, Dale Ann Caldwell and Timmy, Rosey Hansel, LaVonda Abernathy Godwin and Tracy.
A celebration of his life will be held at the family home on Sunday June 25th at 2:00 PM.
