David Frank Rodden

It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Frank Rodden announce his passing on May 23, 2023. He passed away peacefully at home.
David was born on August 29, 1955 in Gaston County, NC to Evelyn Rodden and the late Frank Rodden. He was in the first graduating class of East Gaston High and went on to work in law enforcement with the City of Mount Holly and was a volunteer firefighter.In his later years, he was a logistics manager for several  air and ground freight companies.

David was an artist who loved to draw. He was a loving father and devoted grandpa. He was a faithful friend to many.

David is survived by his mother Evelyn Rodden; daughter Suzanne Crawford and husband Alex of Anderson, SC; grandson Zachary Crawford; brother Tony Rodden and wife Donna of Mooresville; sister Elizabeth Millen of Greensboro; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister Beverly Wrenn.

A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church (140 North Main Street, Mount Holly NC) on Friday May 26th, 2023 at 3:00 pm to celebrate David’s life. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
