It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dawn Marie Reece on Monday September 11, 2023. Born on February 29, 1972 in Rowan County, North Carolina, Dawn was the daughter of Sandra Smith and her husband Jack of Stanley and the late Gary Reece. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Shirley and Pat Moss and Conner Reece. 

Dawn was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt, niece and cousin. She is survived by her parents; a sister Dana Billings of Myrtle Beach; brother Adam Billings of Stanley; grandmother Rachel Reece; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Dawn was an animal lover especially her beloved Speedy.

We are forever grateful for having known such a beautiful soul and she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00pm Monday September 18, 2023 at First Methodist Church in Mount Holly. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
