Deborah Ann Tyson, 69, of Stanley, NC went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior January 21, 2025.  

Deborah was born in Oliver Springs, Tennessee November 13, 1955.  She was proceeded in death by her father Carl Smith, mother Evelyn Smith Wooten her brothers Ed Smith, Terry Smith and Gary Smith.  Stepbrothers Raymond Wooten and Timmy Wooten.  

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 34 years Johnny Tyson, her daughter Heather McManus (Justin), stepson Jeff Tyson (Nicole), stepdaughters Tana Tyson Ensley (Downy) and Olivia Tyson (Bud).  11 Grandchildren Michael, Zach, Morgan, Curtis, Dillion, Cameron, Madison, Tyson, Kalie, Madeline and Cody.  Her stepfather Don Wooten (Rebecca) and stepbrothers Donald Wooten Jr. (Margaret) and Johnny Wooten.  Sister n laws Lori Lytle, Jackie Smith and Terry Kelly.  

Deborah worked hard her entire life but found her passion in 1993 when she became a certified nursing assistant.  She began working at Stanley Total Living Center and absolutely loved caring for the residents every single day.  She went to work at Novant Health in March 1995 as a certified nursing assistance which led her to the heart cath lab where she maintained the inventory for the department.  She took pride in her work and made sure all the physicians had what they needed each and every day.  Deborah retired in 2021 after 26 years.   Deborah loved caring for each patient and always went above and beyond.  

Deborah was a member of Castanea Community Church.  She loved her church and church family.  

A celebration of Debrorah’s life will be held at Castanea Community Church 2:00pm Friday, January 24. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 prior to the service at the church. Graveside service at Pleasant Grove Cemetery immediately following the service.
