Dennis Smith Fisher, beloved son of the late Smith Taylor "Skinny" Fisher and Lorene Champion Fisher, was born on May 13, 1951, in Gaston County, North Carolina. He passed away on September 21, 2024, in Gastonia, NC.

Dennis is survived by his two stepsons, Todd Burris and Marty Burris; and three grandchildren, Jordon Hyde, Keaton Burris, and Macy Burris, his loving girlfriend, Nancy Russell.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Fisher.

Dennis had a fulfilling career at Sodeyco, where he played on the company’s baseball team. He was an avid fan of NC State sports and the Dallas Cowboys. Dennis enjoyed saltwater fishing and dedicated many years to coaching in Stanley. He had a passion for dining out, particularly at Pop's Country Skillet, where he found joy in great food and company.

A Celebration of Dennis's life will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at New Life Baptist Church in Stanley. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
