Densie Lavonne Ensley

Lavonne Ellis Ensley (78) born December 6, 1946, went to her eternal home to be with our Lord and Savior, May 23, 2025, at Stanley Total Living Center, Stanley, NC. She was a graduate of Harding High school class of 65. Lavonne was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. 

She was proceeded in death by her son Banks Ensley, father Willis Ellis, mother Hazel Ellis, and brother Jerry Ellis. Those left to cherish her memory are her son Downy Ensley (Tana), grandsons Morgan Ensley and Tyson Ensley. Her brother Wendell Ellis (Amy), niece Cole James (Travis) and nephew Willis Ellis. Lavonne loved her family with all her heart. 

She owned a cleaning business for over 20 years. She worked hard and loved her long-time customers as if they were family. 

Lavonne will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

A graveside service will be at Hopewell Presbyterian church, Huntersville, NC on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 11:00. 

The family would like to thank Stanley Total Living Center for the love and care the provided to Lavonne this past year. 

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Stanley Total Living Center, Stanley, NC, or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
