It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of Diane Perryman Smith, who passed away on October 19, 2023 in Gastonia, North Carolina. Diane was born on December 16, 1951 in Winston Salem to the late Walter Rudolph and Martha Nifong Perryman.

Diane was a retired Freightliner employee in Mount Holly who enjoyed her time by the beach and reading and collecting bears. She was also a member of New Life Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher. Diane loved to smell good  with her various perfumes and lotions.She was a wonderful witness for Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her husband Freddie Smith, two sons Scott Stillwell and wife  Brandi of Stanley and James Stillwell and wife  Charlotte of Mount Holly, sister Debbie Rowell and husband Charles, 4 grandchildren Kelbi, Ava, Parker and Camden, stepson Mike Stillwell as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters Tricia Scaletti and Becky Kissee and brother Randy Perryman.

A celebration of life service will be held at New Life Baptist Church, 201 Oak Trail, Belmont, NC on Sunday October 22nd at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Life Baptist Church.
