Faye Helms Moore, born August 22, 1931, in Stanley, NC peacefully passed away on February 16, 2024, at Lakewood Care Center. She was the beloved daughter of the late Ernest and Mary Helms.

Faye was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 63 years, Olin George Moore, her sister Mary Moore Hovis, and her brother David Converse Helms.

She is survived by her three children: Mike Moore and wife Valerie of Stanley, Jackie Rimmer of Stanley, and Elizabeth Moore of Stanley. Faye also leaves behind five grandchildren: Angel Goins (Drew), Julie Rimmer, Casey Boyd (Jake), Madi Moore, and Luke Moore, as well as great-grandchildren Jaycee and Colee Boyd. She is also survived by her brother, Buck Helms and his wife Ann.

Faye was a woman of faith and a dedicated member of First Methodist Church in Stanley and Gateway Cowboy Church. She retired as an assistant teacher from Springfield and Kiser Elementary, touching the lives of many young students with her kindness and wisdom.

Beyond her professional life, Faye was a talented songwriter, pouring her heart and soul into her music. Her melodies will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved her and had her CD's.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Faye's life will be held at CommonGround -  Hickory Grove Road in Stanley, NC, on February 22, 2024, at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friend from 12:00-1:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to attend and pay their respects.
