Harry Dale Baker, 73, passed away on January 7, 2026 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.  Born on July 26, 1952, he was the fourth of seven children to James Wilson Baker and Virginia Dare Hart Baker.  After serving in the Air National Guard in the early 1970s, he went on to manage several Hardee’s and McDonald’s restaurants and later retired from Bonded Logistics in Charlotte NC. 

He is survived by three siblings: Ronnie Baker (Judy) of Mt. Holly, NC; Virginia “Susie” Baker of Rutherfordton, NC, and LuAnn Deese (Mike) of York, SC; three daughters: Gini Swayney (Hank) of Kings Mountain, NC; Cammie Roberts(Bobby) of Bessemer City, NC; and Katie Campbell of Hendersonville NC; as well as eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.  

Harry enjoyed golf, writing poetry, and fishing on the NC coast.His family looks forward to a beach trip in his memory this summer.   They are hosting a celebration of life on Saturday, January 17, 1-4pm at First Methodist Church, Mt. Holly NC.
