Harry James (Jimmy) Heffner

Harry James Heffner, 75, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Anne Morris Heffner.  He was born in Monroe, NC, son of the late Bud and Ms. Vick Heffner.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by a son, John Bennett Heffner and wife Becki of Carolina Beach, a daughter, Paula Mexico and husband Jarrett of Mount Holly; three grandchildren, Brooke Fisher and her husband Corbin, Jaci Jessie and her husband Logan and Hunter Valentine; one great grandson Cohen Bennett Fisher.  A sister, Sissy Aycock and her husband Paul Aycock of Indian Trail, NC.

Per Jimmy’s request, no funeral services will be held.  He didn’t enjoy going to funerals and avoided them throughout his life.

I've finished life's chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I've been invited to the fishin' hole.

Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don't worry, or feel sad for me,
I'm fishin' with the Master of the sea.

We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won't be long you will see,
Till we're together you and me.

To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I'm missin'
Just tell 'em I've gone fishin'
