On August 27, 2023, Helen Jones Killian, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away peacefully at CMC Main. She was 85.


Helen was born February 21, 1938 in Rutherford County to the late Thamar Abram and Macie Greene Jones. She graduated from Mount Holly High School and retired from Merrill Lynch after 39 years of service.


Helen was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She also served with CRO Mount Holly, Angel Tree Project and Back Pack School Ministry.


Helen is survived by her husband of 64 years Don Randall Killian Sr., son Don Killian Jr and wife Karolyn, daughter Cynthia Carter and husband Brett; 3 granddaughters Kayla Hirsch and husband Derek, Jenna Carter, and Sara Jane Killian; 2 great granddaughters Delaney and Sunny Hirsch; sister Betty Marble and husband Fred; sister in law Pudgy Jones and numerous nephews, nieces and great nephews and nieces;


She was preceded in death by numerous family members including her parents,4 brothers Hudson Jones (Regis), Edwin Jones (Pauline), Eugene Jones (Eva) and Thamar "Dick" Jones; 4 sisters Hillary Barker (Bud), Patsy Broome (Arnie), Rachel Jones, Elizabeth Broome (Jim);and her  brother-in-law Harold Friday .
