Hollis "Daniel" Cartee

Hollis “Daniel” Matthew Cartee, 42, passed away on Wednesday June 9, 2021.

He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of Judy Smith and the late Donnie Cartee. He graduated from East Gaston High School. He enjoyed and was good at playing golf with his friends.

He is survived by his mother Judy Smith and her husband Russell of Mount Holly, brother Johnny Cartee and wife Teresa of Alexis, a sister Julie Howard of Davidson. Nieces and nephews Cole Cartee, Caleb Cartee, DJ Howard, Emily and Conner Bo, an aunt Teresa Canipe and husband Dale, cousins Jennifer and Charlie and Kodi Dobbins and numerous close friends.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Cartee will be held 11:30am Tuesday June 15 at Castanea Community Church.  The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.
