Hugh Kevin Stone, 58, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2021. He was born in Gaston County, son of Kenneth Edward Stone and the late Margaret Faye Carver.  He was preceded in death by a sister Cathy Cochran. 

He loved the Lord. 
He enjoyed hunting, the mountains and the beach. He loved his family and he took pride in being a husband, a father and a grandfather. 

Kevin is survived by his wife Sheila Stone, 9 children Samatha Stone (Mark), Kevin Stone (Delores), Heather Stone (Richard), Amber Stone (Dustin) Jackie Poston (Trey), Tommy Biggers, Ronnie Biggers, Marlene Biggers, Ashley Biggers. 9 Grandchildren Bella, Hayleigh  and Kaiden  Stone, Khia, Coby and Micah Glaze, Elijah Poston and Klarrisa Sisk, Jordan Mullinax.  8 brothers Bart (Bonnie), John (Lorna), Kenneth Stone II, Jason (Susan), Adam, Samuel, Clay (Ersie) and Joshua Stone. 6 sisters Kim ( Mike) Horne, Donna (Wayne) Beckford, Samatha High, Darla (Shane) Ball, Cherry (Kenneth) Cash, Kelly (Brad) Pritchard.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Stone will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Good News Tabernacle in Bessemer City. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:30pm prior to the service at the church.
