Jack "Jody" Delano Devinney Obituary

Jack Delano "Jody" Devinney, 63, passed away on Sunday September 11, 2022. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Jack and Billie Devinney. He was preceded in death by his wife Leslie Devinney. He was a member of Berea Baptist Church. Jody was a welder and pipe fitter for Duke Power. Jody loved his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed going to the beach and spending time with his family. He was truly the life of any party. His laugh was contagious.

He is survived by his children Shaelyn Devinney of Belmont and Landon Devinney of Shelby, 2 grandsons Lincoln Alexander Smith and Remington Jack Smith, 2 brothers Shawn Devinney (Michelle), Marty Devinney (Julie), a sister Beverly "Sissy" Robinson (Donnie), and numerous and nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 1:00pm Wednesday September 14, 2022 at the First Methodist Church in Mount Holly. Burial will follow at Berea Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday evening at the church.
