Jada Elaine Harkey

Jada Elaine Harkey was the daughter of April Nicole Harkey and was born April 2, 1999 in Charlotte North Carolina. She gained her angel wings on Tuesday February 27,2024. She was 24 years old. 

Jada graduated from Stuart Cramer High School in June of 2017. 

She was a daughter and granddaughter, precious niece, sister, aunt, and loving mother of Mason Harkey.

She was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church; and enjoyed being an active member of the youth group.

She was very artsy and as a child her art works were displayed throughout Gaston  County. She loved  and valued spending time with her family, going camping, to the beach, and especially loved holiday get-togethers. She was a rockstar cheerleader and captain of her team years in row. She loved to cook almost as much as she loved to eat, and had dreams of becoming a master chef. She loved to sing, dance, and be silly making everyone around her laugh. Jada had an infectious smile that would light up any room, and a laugh that made it impossible not to join in. She loved her Mason, and wanted to give him the world and then some. Jada had a heart of gold, and she valued caring for others. 

She was preceded in death by her uncle Jeremy Rimmer. She is survived by her son Mason, & her mother April Harkey. Her sisters, Carmen (son Kylan) and Haylee along with her Brothers, John and Blake. Her grandparents, Jerry Harkey, Debbie Bryant and husband Danny. 

Special Aunt Gina Rimmer, sons Triston, Oliver, Morgan. Brandy Bryant, son Noah. Favorite Uncle Tony Harkey, wife Cinthya, son Irving, daughters Mia and Layla.

Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday March 9, 2024 at 2:00 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 3717 Hickory Grove Rd. Gastonia NC 28056 with Visitation following at 2:45.
