Jane Motter Guy Obituary

Mrs. Guy, 71, of 2337 Clemson Ln, Stanley, died peacefully with family on March 11, 2023. She was born on April 27, 1951, in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Marry B. Motter and loving granddaughter of Fannie Campbell Beaty, and was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Linda Guy, Aunt Fay Wingate, Uncle Morris Beaty and dearest cousin and sister in life, Tami W. Hall. She was a member of Mulberry Presbyterian Church and previously Thrift United Methodist Church. Jane is survived by her husband of 21 years, John Michael Guy, her children, Kristopher and Benjamin Green, granddaughter Audrina Green, her father-in-law Jack Guy, and the loving Beaty, Wingate, Jones, and Hulon families as well as many friends met through Mulberry Presbyterian Church as well as Thrift United Methodist Church.

Jane loved to cook and feed people her wonderful food as well as give back to many other families in need whenever she had the opportunity to do so. She served for many years in her church’s session as an elder and, for a time, as a den mother in Cub Scouts.

A special thank you to Wendover Hospice House for their compassionate care.

Jane's family sincerely appreciates all the comforting messages, calls, cards, visits, prayers, and acts of kindness during this time.  Your encouragement and support have been greatly appreciated.
