Jerry Eugene (Tater) Lassiter Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Eugene "Tater" Lassiter, who departed this world on March 10, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on January 20, 1968, in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, he was the beloved son of Lib and Willie Lassiter, who preceded him in death.

Jerry was a loving father and a proud grandfather. He is survived by his son, Cale Lassiter of Mount Holly, and his daughter, Brandy Lassiter of Kings Mountain. He is leaving behind three adoring grandchildren: Tristan Miller, Vada Garrison, and Leighton Garrison. Jerry is also survived by two loving sisters, Deborah Cape (Danny) of Kings Mountain and Shelia Carr (Chris) of Dallas, as well as numerous extended family members who will miss him dearly.

In his younger days, he had a love for racing go-karts.  He loved football, especially watching his grandson Tristan play. He was known for his great sense of humor.
Jerry attended Bessemer City High School, where he made lasting friendships and memories.

A visitation will be held in his honor on Sunday March 16, 2025, from 4:00 - 6:00pm  at New Life Baptist Church in Bessemer City.
