Jessie Burton Rhyne, 105, of Mount Holly passed away on Thursday December 29, 2022. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, daughter of the late Richard and Mary Ellen Burton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Jack Rhyne. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Mount Holly.

She is survived by her daughter Jessica Marks of Wilmington, son Alex Rhyne of Little River, SC, 2 granddaughters Hailey Robins and husband Brad of High Point and Rebecca Hope and husband Scott of Mount Holly, 4 great granddaughters Alyx, Kate, Madeline and Ella. The family would like to offer a special thanks to her caregiver Susan Piercy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, PO Box 3984, Gastonia NC 28054.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Rhyne will be held 1:00pm Tuesday January 3, 2023 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly. The family will visit with friends after the service at the cemetery.
