John Franklin Hannah Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Franklin Hannah, who left us peacefully at home on October 27, 2024, at the age of 52. Born on August 26, 1972, in Tennessee, John’s life was a testament to kindness and selflessness—a true embodiment of compassion who touched the lives of all who knew him.

John was the beloved son of Debra Gray and Frankie Martin. He is survived by his wife, Wendy Hannah, and three cherished children: Donovan Bryant Hannah, Austin James Hannah, and Jonathon Edward Hannah, affectionately known as "Pookie." John also leaves behind his sister, Amanda Leider, and the mother of his sons, Jodie Winemiller. Each of these relationships reflected John’s unwavering love and commitment to his family, which he held above all else.

John was known for his generous spirit and was often the first person to lend a hand to those in need. Whether it was helping a neighbor or supporting a friend, his selflessness knew no bounds. A passionate Dallas Cowboys fan, he found joy in cheering for his team and cooking out with family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and warmth.

Though he had many interests, it was John’s characteristic compassion that truly set him apart. He was a man who listened, cared, and was always there for others, making a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

A visitation will be held on Saturday November 2, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Common Ground Outdoor Worship Area, 5481 Hickory Grove Road, Stanley, NC , where family and friends will gather to celebrate John’s remarkable life.
