John Thomas “Johnny” Mangum, 69 passed away on Sunday March 28, 2021. He was born in Charlotte to the late Thomas Francis and Margie Smith Mangum. He was an auto mechanic with Toyota of Charlotte for many years. He liked to fish and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He also loved spending time with his granddaughters.
He is survived by Phyllis Mangum, son Thomas Mangum, daughter Kristen Hargis (Kirk), granddaughters Clara and Lucy. His canine companion Tippy.
Due to current pandemic conditions, a memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
In memory of his life, the family would like for others to donate blood, which was a big part of the treatment for his leukemia.
