Joshua David Hathaway, born June 21, 1983, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly from a hit and run accident on January 12, 2025, in Los Angeles, California. His vibrant spirit and zest for life will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. Joshua was the cherished son of Dave and Dana Hathaway and the loving father of his daughter, Kali Hathaway. He is survived by his devoted parents, his beautiful daughter, his sister Kayla Hathaway and her husband Joshua Ferris. He also leaves behind his beloved grandfather, Richard "Dick" George. Joshua was preceded in death by his grandmother, Harriet Lea George, grandparents Nancy and Frank William Hathaway, and his great grandparents, Katherine and Harry "Lefty" Pletersek and numerous extended family.

A proud graduate of West Alleghany High School, Joshua carried the values of hard work into his professional life. He formerly worked at Blythe Construction and Oliver Paving in Charlotte, where he made lasting friendships. An avid skateboarder and dirtbike enthusiast, Joshua found joy in the thrill of adventure. His creative spirit shone through in his love for writing and drawing, capturing the world around him in ways that inspired others.
