Joyce Elaine Meeks, born on October 17, 1949, in Gastonia, NC, peacefully passed away on May 25, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of the late James and Hildred Painter.

Joyce's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with love, compassion, and dedication. She was a devoted wife to her husband of almost 60 years, Rev. Bobby Meeks. Their bond was a testament to the enduring power of love and commitment.

She is survived by her son, Robert Meeks of Mount Holly, who was the light of her life. Joyce was also a loving sister to Frances Clark (Robert) of Rock Hill, SC.

In addition to her immediate family, Joyce touched the lives of many through her membership in the Way of the Cross Church in Mount Holly. Her faith was a guiding light that illuminated the path for those around her.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Joyce loved to walk the beach, finding peace and tranquility in the rhythm of the ocean waves.

Joyce's memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire and uplift those who carry her in their hearts.

A celebration of life service will be held at Way of the Cross Baptist Church  in Mount Holly, NC, on Wednesday May 29, 2024, at 6:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 5:00-5:45pm
