Kenneth Raines, 72,passed away on January 10, 2026, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia,NC. Born on September 22, 1953, Kenneth spent
most of his life working in the textile industry. His dedication to his work and his community left a lasting impression on those around him.

Kenneth is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Pamela Raines; two sons, James Raines (Sandy) of Rock Hill, SC, and Thomas Raines
of Dallas, NC; and his granddaughter, Jennifer Raines of Kings Mountain, NC.
He was preceded in death by his father Marvin Raines; mother Ruth Garner; step-father Grady Gibson; sister Vanessa Collins; brother Richard
Raines; and half-brother Robert Hall.
Known affectionately as the best storyteller of West Gastonia, Kenneth had a gift for bringing people together through laughter and shared memories.

He found joy in simple pleasures washing his car with care and listening to music that filled his days with rhythm and reflection.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday January 24, 2026 from 1:30-3:30pm at Greater Hopewell Full Gospel Church in Gastonia.
