Mamie Elizabeth (Johnson "Love") Estes

Mamie Elizabeth Johnson Love Estes, 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 16, 2021. She was born in Dante, VA, daughter of the late Walter and Fannie Johnson and birth parents Bonnie Phillips and Christopher Columbus Phillips. She was preceded in death by 2 sons Jimmy Love and Michael Billings Jr., brothers Bobby Campbell, Calvin Christian, Hugh, Aubrey, Paul, John and Flubby Phillips. She had a love for NASCAR as well as shooting pool. Mamie enjoyed sports cars and riding motorcycles. She loved spending time at family gatherings, especially with her grandkids and great grandkids.

She is survived by her husband Gordon Estes, 2 sons Roby Love Jr. and Teresa of Tazewell, VA, Johnny Love and wife Betty of Stanley, and her daughter, Tammy Love of Bessemer City. 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, sisters Linda Couch of Cleveland, VA, Dean Johnson of Johnson City, TN, Judy Farmer of Cleveland, VA  and numerous extended family.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Estes will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Cornerstone Family Worship, 709 Rankin Ave. Mount Holly NC. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00pm prior to the service at the church.
