Mark (Porkchop) Winchester, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side at Atrium Hospital in Lincolton, NC, on Sunday, August 29, 2021.
He was born on March 13, 1972. He was preceded in death by his dad, Jack Winchester and father-in-law Floyd Collins.
Mark graduated from South Point High School in Belmont. He was employed at Bi-Lo as a meat cutter for 29 years; where he became a friend to everyone he met. In April, after the closing of Bi-Lo, mark started a new journey at Harris Teeter.
He was a member of Horizon Baptist Church. He enjoyed playing PUBG, going on vacations with his wife and mother-in-law, and spending time with his dog, Sophie.
Mark is survived by his wife, Brittany, the love of his life. His mother, Penny; mother-in-law, Sherrill; bonus mother-in-law, Susan; sister, Jennifer; Brother-in-laws, Kenny, Aaron, and Thomas; sister-in-laws, Anna and Dessa; Nephews, Damien, Trystan, and Wyatt; and nieces, Addisyn and Emma; and his fur baby, Sophie.
A special thanks to all of the compassionate nurses and doctors in the ccu at Atrium hospital in Lincolton. Thank you for caring for Mark and making him comfortable.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday September 7 atFirst Freewill Baptist Church in Stanley. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm prior to the service at the church.
