It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Virginia Harris, born on September 20, 1947, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mary peacefully departed this world at the Greens in Lincolnton on December 4, 2025.

Mary was the beloved daughter of Richard and Louise Beatty Harris, who preceded her in death. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of her family, which included her dear sisters, whom passed earlier this year, Dorothy "Dot" Harris and Florence Elizabeth Harris, and her brother, Richard Harris Jr.and wife Teresa.  Mary also took great joy in her role as an aunt to her niece, Kimberly Follis and husband Steven, and her nephew, Kevin Harris and wife Mandi and great nieces Joy and Abigail Follis

A proud graduate of Mount Holly High School, Mary was an active member of the First Methodist Church in Mount Holly, where she found joy and purpose in her faith. 

A private graveside funeral service will be held  at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.
