Melissa Johnnie Ellatina Green Obituary

Melissa “Missy” Johnnie Ellatina Green, 29, passed away on Tuesday August 10, 2021. She was born in Haywood County, daughter of Hazel and Scottie Green. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Bertha Roberts and Johnnie Reece. She was a kind soul. She loved sunflowers, animals, music and never met a stranger.

 

In addition to her parents whom she loved dearly, she is survived by a grandmother Mary Lou Reece, 2 brothers Christopher Boyter and Scottie Lee Green, a sister Melissa Brooks, her longtime boyfriend Leslie Gillespie, aunts Terry Roberts, Lisa Locust, Rita Dixon (Kenneth), Angela Armstrong. Uncles Johnny Reece, William Green, Bud Green (Doris) and Matthew Bice and numerous cousins and extended family.

 

A service to celebrate the life of Missy will be held 10:00am Tuesday August 17, 2021 at the First Methodist Church in Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Monday evening at the church. Interment will follow the service at Hardin Baptist Cemetery in Dallas.
