It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Bruce Branch, who was born on March 26, 1943 in Rowland, NC to the late Wesley and Flora Branch. Michael passed away on December 13, 2023 in Lincolnton, NC.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sister Betty Scott and 3 brothers Gerald, Russell and Joseph Branch. He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis Bell, 2 children Heath Branch of Dallas  and Hope Armstrong and husband Stephen of Charlotte, brother Gordon Branch and wife Deborah of Rowland, 2 step children Melissa Dockery and husband Anthony of Alexis and Leah Schaefer and husband Jeffrey of Belmont, 3 step grandchildren Allyson Lockridge and husband Damien, Olivia Dockery and Bryson Schaefer as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Michael was a member of the Gaston County Master Gardeners Group and was involved with the Mount Holly Community Garden and Farmers Market. He had so many friends who showed him care and compassion during this difficult time; he never met a stranger or failed to find something interesting to talk about with others.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced.
