Pauline (Polly) Lovelace Painter, 92 of Mt. Holly formerly Concord and Charlotte, NC passed away on July 2, 2021 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House after a brief illness. Polly was born on December 2, 1928 to the late Asa Edwards Lovelace and Levie Owens. She grew up in Forest City, NC met and married the love of her life Ligon (LM) in 1947. They moved to Charlotte and there raised their family before moving to Concord. She worked for WA Buening for over 30 years before retiring. Polly never met anyone she didn’t love but the most important thing in her life was her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving and committed mother to her 3 children, always putting their needs above her own. She carried that love forward to her grandchildren loving and providing whatever they needed whenever she could. Her great-grandkids were blessed to have known her and feel the love she so much shared. Polly was preceded in death by her son David L. Painter. Polly is survived by her husband of 74 years Ligon (LM) her son Bobby and wife Jerri, daughter Linda Hopkins, 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, July 11th at First United Methodist Church located at 140 N. Main S. Mt. Holly NC 28120.
