Richard “Stirling” Breeden of Charlotte, NC joined his mother Virginia, father Richard and son Sean in heaven on January 3, 2023. 

Stirling spent 25 years as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with Steele Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He loved deer hunting, Willie Nelson, Jack Daniels and most of all he loved his family.

Stirling is survived by his wife of 60 years, Brenda Bailey Breeden, his daughters Laura Breeden of Rock Hill, SC and Kristie Breeden Pruitt of Bessemer City, NC, grandsons Daniel Osborne, Stirling Osborne, and Badger Compton, granddaughter Kael Duke, great grandchildren Nathan Osborne, Aiden Osborne, Cadence Compton and Robin Compton.  He is also survived by his sister Clelon Berry of Lynchburg, VA.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 14th at 1:00 PM at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church at Pleasant Hill at 15000 York Rd Charlotte, NC  28278. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
