Robert Henry Broome, born November 21, 1936, in Gaston County, peacefully passed away at Caromont Regional Medical Center on February 18, 2024. He was the beloved son of the late Tom and Ruth Broome.

Robert was a devoted husband to his wife of 65 years, JoAnn Broome. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Robert is survived by his three children: Pam Grahl (Mark) of Dallas, Robert H Broome Jr. (Cindy) of Dallas, and Michael Broome (Tonia) of Gastonia. He was a loving grandfather to Megan, Landon, Dustin, Courteney, Dalton, and Logan, and a proud great-grandfather to Caden and Marleigh.

In addition to his immediate family, Robert leaves behind a community of friends and loved ones who will deeply miss him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Broome.

A private funeral service will be held to honor Robert's life.
