Roby Lee Love Sr., 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, January 15, 2021. He was born in War, West Virginia, son of the late Barney and Vanie Love. He was preceded in death by a son Jimmy Love, and 3 sisters Louise Veselosky, Georgie Pinkston, and Charmie Sharot.

Roby was a man who loved God and was a faithful member of Cornerstone Family Worship in Mount Holly. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed watching sports. He loved doing yardwork and spending time with his chihuahua, “baby girl” Lola.

He is survived by 2 sons Roby Love Jr. and wife Teresa of Tazewell, VA, Johnny Love and wife Betty of Stanley, and his daughter Tammy Love of Bessemer City, who he always called his baby girl. 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. 2 brothers Jimmy Love and Johnny Otis Love. 4 sisters Elsie Perkins, Willie Altizer, Mary Wertz and Barbara Cuffley, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Love will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Cornerstone Family Worship, 709 Rankin Ave. Mount Holly NC. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-2:00pm prior to the service at the church.
