Ruby Armstrong Ford, 78, passed away on Friday September 17, 2021. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Leonard and Margaret Armstrong. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers Ralph and Jerry Armstrong and 2 sisters Girlie Ward and Libby Allen. She was a member of Maranatha Temple Church of God. She loved spending time at the beach and loved her church. She especially loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of over 51 years John Ford, 4 children Todd Ford and wife Kris of Belmont, Abby Cauthen and husband Bob of Belmont, Rusty Ford and partner Michelle Coffey of Stanley, Tonya Bedner and husband Rich of York, SC, grandchildren Courtney, Amanda, Callie, Austin, Nicole, Chad and Caleb. Great grandchildren Addison, Ryleigh, Ava, Beckham, Ally and Rhett. Sisters Kay Lanier (William), Gaynell Ottinger (Mack) and Brenda Roberts (Glenn).
The family will hold a private graveside service on Thursday. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
