Ruth (Lineberger) Cloninger

Ruth Lineberger Cloninger, 90, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2020. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late John Leland Lineberger and Mary Lucile Clemmer Lineberger. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 64 years Fred Cloninger. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister Frances Lineberger Withers. She was a lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church in Stanley.  

She is survived by children Michael and his wife Margaret Anne, Larry and his wife Lisa, Lewis, Cindy Keefer and her husband Joe, and Norman and his wife Kelly. Grandchildren Russell, Jennifer (Richard), Amanda (Matt), Chris (Jennifer), Joe, and Emily (Rob). Great grandchildren Aiden, Alexandria, Morgan and Ethan and a sister Janice Cornwell.  
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cloninger will be held 11:00a.m. Saturday August 22, 2020 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery.
