Teresa Ann Caldwell Obituary
With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Teresa Ann Caldwell, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, who left this world on September 5, 2024, in Gastonia. Born on September 18, 1955, Teresa graced us with her presence for nearly 69 years, filling our lives with boundless love, joy, and laughter.
Teresa was the cherished daughter of the late Jewel Elizabeth Freeman and Archie Coleman Freeman. She was born and raised with a spirit of kindness and resilience that she carried with her throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Terry Caldwell, and her dear daughters, Tisha Lynn Caldwell Broome and Charlotte Dawn Caldwell Hulon.
Teresa is survived by her devoted son, Terry Bryant Caldwell, and his wife Lori Caldwell, who will continue to honor her legacy. Her siblings, sister Victoria Gross and her husband Norman Gross, sister Brenda Silvers and her husband Reid Silvers, and brother Johnny Coleman Freeman and his wife Wanda Freeman, held a special place in her heart and will forever cherish their memories of her.
Teresa was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren, who were the light of her life, and four great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy in her later years. She also leaves behind 16 nephews and nieces, all of whom will miss her loving presence and infectious laughter.
A high school graduate and a hard worker, Teresa dedicated her life to nurturing her family and enriching her community. Alongside her husband, she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir, sharing her faith with those around her. Her community involvement extended to owning and working at a bingo place, where she created a space of fun and camaraderie for many.
Teresa had an unwavering love for the beach, a place where she found peace and happiness. She had a remarkable ability to make others laugh, a trait that endeared her to everyone she met. Her little dogs, Scooter and Bailey, were her constant companions, bringing her comfort and joy.
Teresa Ann Caldwell will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and dedication will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be held 5:00pm Saturday September 14, 2024 at New Faith Baptist Church in Springwood. The family will receive friends from 4-5:00pm prior to the service at the church.
