Terry David Emory Sr., 66, passed away on Friday December 3, 2021. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Eddie and Lucille Emory. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers  James, Lonnie, Eddie, Rod, Randy and Steve Emory. He was a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. He worked for Duke Energy and finished his career there at the Toddville Glove Lab. Terry loved classic cars, rock music and was an avid UNC Tarheel fan.

He is survived by his wife of over 43 years Karen Garrett Emory, daughter Melissa Emory of Dallas, son Terry Emory Jr. and wife Suzanne of Waxhaw; grandchildren Katherine, Sarah, Rebecca and Jaxson. Brother Milton Love Emory and a sister Freida Emory Brock, father in law David Hicks Garrett Jr. and many special friends and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00pm Wednesday December 8, 2021 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Tuesday at the church.
