Obituary

Thomas Jones Cauthen Jr., 89, passed away on Monday April 25, 2022. He was born in Mount Holly, son of the late Gladys and Thomas Cauthen Sr. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Lybrand Cauthen, 3 brothers Ernest, Ed and George Cauthen, and an infant son Ronnie Cauthen. He retired from Duke Power after 36 years of service. He was active member of the Stowe YMCA.

He is survived by his children Tommy Cauthen and wife Deborah of Dallas, Billy Cauthen and wife Robin of Shelby, Linda Cauthen Bowman of Mount Holly, and David Cauthen and wife Janet of Huntersville. 8 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held 2:00pm Wednesday April 27, 2022 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery officiated by Pastor Jim Ogle. The family will receive friends after the service 3:00pm at First Methodist Church in Mount Holly Fellowship Hall.
