Tommie Joe (Jr.) Hopkins Obituary

Tommie “Joe” Hopkins, Jr. born January 24, 1975, passed away late July 26, 2025, after
a rare side effect from the cancer treatment he was receiving.
He kept his spirits up and knew he had the support of his family and fiancé Olivia.
Words cannot express the loss they feel but he knew they were with him 24/7. Despite
many setbacks and challenges to his health, he never stopped trying to live a full life.
One full of love, family and friends.
Joe was a hard worker, always working multiple jobs and providing for his family. He
enjoyed a good, rare ribeye, guns, upgrading his numerous vehicles, hunting, and being
in the mountains. His family will carry-on these hobbies in faithful memory.
He was employed at Ten Leasing, Gastonia, NC. He had a bachelor’s degree from
Belmont Abbey, graduated from Gaston College, and graduated from East Gaston High
school.
Joe was preceded in death by his Grandparents Polly and L.M. Painter, Grandmother
