Tony Arthur Bridges

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Arthur Bridges on June 27, 2023. Tony was born on October 2, 1956 in Morganton, NC to Rachel Mull Lunday. He graduated from West Mecklenburg High School. He retired from Frito Lay after 30 years of service.

He was a devoted husband to his wife of over 40 years Kathy Bridges and a loving father to his three children Tony Bridges II (Katy) of Iron Station, Jayme Bridges (Demarcus) of Charlotte, Jenna McQuage (Stephan) of Belmont and 9 grandchildren Jayda, Lillian, Skylar, Jase, Cambree, Tristen, Kylah, Titus and Tage, a sister Kimberly Shirey of Indian Trail and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony had a passion for life and the people he loved. He was a devout Dallas Cowboys fan. Tony loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren whether it be at home or at his favorite vacation spot Myrtle Beach Travel Park. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a part of the Agape Sunday School Class. He impacted the lives of so many by demonstrating his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ.

Tony is preceded in death by his brother Alan Bridges.

A celebration of life service will be held for Tony at 11:30 am on Saturday July 1st at Calvary Baptist Church in Charlotte. The family will receive friends from 10-11:30am prior to the service at the church.
