Trenton Michael Doane, 20, of Indian Trail, NC passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January
7, 2023. Those that knew Trent might speak about his good humor and ability to make you
laugh, when you least expect it. Perhaps they’ll remember his unquestionable talent to write
lyrics and compose music (two of his favorite past-times). His knack for capturing a memory,
moment or feeling in a song was compelling and often hit the heart with force, moving you to
reverie. Trent was a native to Union County, born in Monroe on June 16, 2003 and attended
Poplin Elementary, Porter Ridge Middle and High schools along with being active in many local
sports organizations in the area. His friends, classmates and coaches will recall his competitive
nature combined with sportsmanship. Trenton was very close to his family, both immediate and
extended. He could always be counted among the cousins at family gatherings and would
happily wrestle his younger cousin to exhaustion or bring a drink or dessert to an aunt with a
smile and flourish. Trenton will remain a treasured memory to his family and friends who know
that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Left to cherish his memory is his Father Michael Doane (Sarah), siblings Trevor, Chloe, Ryan
and Claire. paternal grandmother Marlene Linville, devoted Aunt Patricia Rooney, maternal
grandfather David Rushing, along with multitudes of extended aunts, uncles, cousins and
friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved Mother, Amber Doane.
All are welcomed to join the family to remember Trenton and celebrate his life on Saturday,
January 13, 2024 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2301 N. Rocky River Rd. Monroe, NC 28110.
Visitation to begin at 1 pm immediately followed by a service at 2pm officiated by Pastor Brad
Kelley.
