V. Clarence Rick

V. Clarence Rick, 93, passed away on Tuesday October 4, 2022. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Pauline and Vaultie Rick Sr.  He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Jo Noles Rick, and 2 daughters Patricia Burgess Hartley and  Pamela Jo Rick. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Mount Holly.

He is survived by his daughter Kim Cunningham and husband Jeff of Belmont, 4 grandchildren Jimmy Payne of Hartsville, SC, Tracy Pennington of Florence, SC, Matt Cunningham of Belmont and Adam Cunningham and wife Vy of Charlotte, a brother Charles Rick of Pinehurst, NC, 7 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, son in law Jerry Hartley of Florence, SC and long time companion Mary Lou Harkey of Stanley, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00am Saturday October 8, 2022 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
